On March 21, 2026, the Union Internationale des Avocats hosted the UIA Family Law and International Estates Planning Commissions Meeting in Monte Carlo, Monaco. Ms. Lavanya Regunathan Fischer, participated in the Second Session, titled “Which Law Governs My Family? One…or Several?” along with Daniela Horvitz, James Riby, Gaëlle Bonnet, Pol Martín González Mansilla, Alberto Morizio, and Dirk H Nuyts. The discussion look at how multiple possible jurisdictions can be navigated when either partners belong to different nationalities or are moving for work.
